I was introduced to Renee and Ginoy by a graphic-designer friend of mine who I had gone to college with. Renee was seeking a photographer to capture her maternity photos with a specific theme in mind, and I could tell she was excited to tell me when we began taking about ideas.
As with all my initial consultations, I wanted to get to know the couple, what the overall look they were hoping to achieve was, and most importantly what feeling they wanted to portray and what the session would mean to them. With no hesitation, Renee told me that they wanted their session to be sweet and intimate. The session would tell a photo tale of their relationship, before becoming a family of three. She went on to tell me her style/theme was boho chic inspired and she had won me over with it all.
We scheduled our session to be at Hilton Falls, on the rainy and gloomy Saturday of Easter weekend. I brought my hubby side-kick with me A. so I wouldn’t have to make the drive out alone, and B. to help us out during the session. We got there super early to walk the trail and find some nice areas to photograph. After a bit of searching and climbing over and under things, we found an absolute PERFECT woodsy/green/rocky area, and knew that the couple would love it when they saw it (which they did)! Lucky for us all, the rain stopped and the skies cleared just in time for us to begin their session.
