On a beautiful Summer day in July, this family welcomed their newborn baby girl into the world.
Mom reached out to me in the Spring, hoping I would be able to photograph her second birth. At this time I was searching for families who were interested in birthing photography, as it’s always been a dream of mine to pursue. To capture such a challenging, exciting, life-changing moment for this family – I was beyond excited.
I started my morning out across the street with IKEA breakfast, and when I received notice that mom was being admitted to a room late AM, I headed over to the hospital to take some establishing shots. (Note: I love capturing all the details, so parents can remember what the world was like when their little one was born.)
It was in the afternoon when Mama, Papa and big brother welcomed their baby girl. There are so many amazing things I can say about this family – they have been so kind, welcoming and generous toward me. I feel so blessed to have met them, and am grateful that I was able to capture this important moment for them!
