Today was such a beautiful day! Even more so, it was a wonderful day to be on call for birth photography. I received a text early in the morning that Mom’s waters had ruptured. Nearly 3 weeks before her due date, Mom & Dad went right into the birthing centre Triage. Finally, in the warm and sunny afternoon they were admitted into their birthing room. I am so fortunate to live close to the hospital – I packed up my photography gear, went in to say hi and check up on the excited (and tired) parents.
Mom and Dad are currently catching up on some sleep, but could wake at any moment to welcome their firstborn into the world. Until then, here are some of my sneak peek / establishing shots that I captured during my visit to the hospital today. I’m excited to share more from their birth session soon!
