Markham, Ontario
What can I say, I love my Markham community! I am always thrilled to network and connect with new people, and it always interests me how exactly those connections are made. Susan had stumbled across my business card in the window sill of a local nail salon we both happen to go to (shout outs to Rachel at May Nails). My card was among many other local businesses – Rachel always makes sure I leave some of my cards behind before I leave – it’s just one of the small but significant ways local businesses in Markham connect. And I’m so happy we do this, because that is how Susan had found me!
After taking my unique, square card home, Susan became interested in my photography and reached out to me to do some portraits of her for business. When we first chatted through email/phone, we got along so well and that carried on through our portrait session. Susan was so happy with her photos, she reached out to me a second time to do family portraits! I appreciate all she had to do to coordinate her big family coming together, at a local senior living community where her mother was cared for.
It was very important to Susan and her siblings to photograph their entire family together, commemorating special moments spent with their mother. When their families arrived to the home, I noticed I went to high school with a couple of them! Again, connections like this always interest me and it gives me that much more of a community feeling.
I am so happy and honoured to be able to photograph these memories for families. And I will always remember and be thankful for how Susan found me!
