Today I’m reminding myself to be grateful.
I’m grateful I was able to travel and see some of the beauty of the world before things escalated, and borders started to close.
I’m grateful for my health and for the responsibility and ability to stay home, ensuring my family is happy and safe, and protecting others in our community.
I’m grateful for all those who do not have the same opportunity as me, but instead have to continue working to make sure we all have the essential items we need to keep isolated at home.
I’m grateful for my clients: my brides, grooms, couples, families, mothers and fathers, who have all been so trusting and patient as we figure things out together.
And more than ever, I’m grateful for all those on the “front line” – those who are the real heroes battling.
I’m sure many of you can agree that scrolling through social media, only to see posts about the current events, can be a downer. But if I were to point out any beauty in all of this, it would be the fact that our entire world finally sees that it is our responsibility to work together to make a difference and make things right, even if it means by staying apart.
